AWAKEN THE WATCHMAN |
||
| The prophets of old, may their wisdom increase, | ||
| All spoke of a time this Age it should cease. | ||
| A time that is such as never has been | ||
| Has always been called the time of the end. | ||
| - | ||
| When Christ shall return and claim what is His, | ||
| A time of both light and darkness it is. | ||
| Before the true Christ will God ever send, | ||
| Must Satan to walk the earth once again. | ||
| - | ||
| These things He foretold, His Word does not lie! | ||
| Only a fool would His truth to deny. | ||
| The one who won't hear these words that we speak | ||
| Has sown of the seeds of destruction to reap. | ||
| - | ||
| The Bible is read by hardly a few, | ||
| What God has to say most have not a clue! | ||
| Pray who can survive the days just ahead, | ||
| For most of the world is spiritually dead. | ||
| - | ||
| Our hope lies within the power of His love, | ||
| The Spirit of God as sent from above. | ||
| He has decided in these final days | ||
| To speak unto man in terse, sundry ways. | ||
| - | ||
| Four winds of the earth the angels did hold | ||
| Till knowledge of God, His servants were told. | ||
| That sealing is done and fate is set free; | ||
| The future is soon the present to be. | ||
| - | ||
| Awaken the watchman! He might take a stand. | ||
| The hour of his watch is now close at hand. | ||
| The days of our youth are gone like the wind, | ||
| Hearken the message that the Spirit does send. | ||
| - | ||
| These words that I write are not of my own, | ||
| Pay heed what is said, we walk not alone. | ||
| May truth now abound, revealed in its time, | ||
| A warning now given in verse and in rhyme. | ||
| - | ||
| Who will have patience his soul to revive | ||
| To read what we say his soul might survive. | ||
| The need is now greater than ever was found | ||
| That knowledge of God, His truth might abound. | ||
| - | ||
| He wrote each a letter and called it His Word, | ||
| Therein was it written what needs to be heard. | ||
| But who can withstand the time of the end | ||
| Who has not the knowledge that's written therein? | ||
| - | ||
| The world is so full of ignorance and bliss | ||
| Does hardly a soul know what is amiss. | ||
| Because of God's love and death all around | ||
| These poems are now given that truth might abound. | ||
| - | ||
| May wisdom prevail and seek now the truth, | ||
| That life may endure the days of thy youth. | ||
| No soul can survive the time just ahead | ||
| Lest know of God's Word therein what is said. | ||
| - | ||
| The poems of this book as said of God's Word, | ||
| Can knowledge be gained unless it is heard? | ||
| What good is the salt, the salt of the earth, | ||
| If its flavor is lost, just what is its worth? | ||
| - | ||
| A candle is lit and glows now in rhyme, | ||
| The lesser is given that greater might shine. | ||
| Let wisdom prevail and seek now its light, | ||
| The time of the end descends as the night. | ||
| - | ||
| Let there be no mistake of what has been said | ||
| These poems have been written as the Spirit has led. | ||
| They are given that when comes the beast of the end, | ||
| Might all be prepared to enter his den. | ||
| - | ||
| So hearken to these words we write | ||
| And may you rise to see the Light! | ||
| The one who won't hear what is told, | ||
| May God have mercy on his soul. | ||
