ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Born into a family of modest means near the southern Oklahoma (USA) farming/ranching community of Ringling he grew up on a small farm. Although raised in a secular home he was, nevertheless, taught Christian values by good well-intended parents. Educated in a small country school he possessed an aptitude for math and science and went on to obtain bachelors degrees in both mathematics and aerospace engineering from the University of Oklahoma. A very satisfying and fulfilling ten year civilian career with the Air Force followed. Earlier years working for the Air Force were spent at the maintenance facility at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. These years witnessed both the birth of his only child, a son, and the end of a seven year marriage in divorce. The latter years of his engineering career were involved with the modification and subsequent flight testing of highly classified airplanes. Possessing a top secret clearance he traveled extensively as the job required with many trips made to Edwards AFB and he has even flown on Air Force One for job related purposes. As a civilian, he volunteered to spend six months in Vietnam as a member of the RAM team (Rapid Area Maintenance) to help repair battle damaged aircraft. Being the only engineer on the team, he was constantly flown to different locations throughout Vietnam and Thailand for damage assessment and repair procedures. In spite of a busy work schedule, time was still found to interact with the native people in both Vietnam and Thailand and he gained an appreciation for their foods and culture.

His career with the Air Force ended at Kirkland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico when the Air Force decided to move the aircraft modification and test group, both airplanes and personnel, to Dayton, Ohio and he chose not to make the move. Before leaving Albuquerque, two people would enter his life and forever alter the fabric of his future. Susie would become his wife and companion of some thirty years and counting. “Mace” was one of those spiritual guides whom the Lord will occasionally send to a person when the time is right. Mace taught Keith how to interpret dreams and thus opened up a line of communication whereby the Lord could guide and direct in a manner which must have been similar to what occurred in Old Testament days. It wasn’t long before the voice of authority spoke to him in a dream and told him: “Something of momentous proportions is going to take place on the earth during your lifetime and you are going to be given the opportunity to participate.” Although the Second Advent of Christ was not specifically mentioned he was filled with the knowledge that the Lord’s return was much closer than most people realized. He was told that for the foreseeable future he should be concerned with eliminating those aspects of his life (alcohol, tobacco, greed, lust, gambling, etc.) which would interfere with his ability to serve the Lord. The new couple then moved back home to Oklahoma to be near his dad who was aging and needed help on the family farm. The next ten years were spent working as an equipment operator for the Halliburton Company, raising cattle, and “cleaning up” his life.

In 1991, life as they knew it came to an end when Keith was diagnosed with Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia which is a non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer originating, in this case, in the bone marrow. Diagnosis took so long that permanent neurological damage was incurred primarily in the hands, arms, feet, and legs. There is no cure but it can be treated and thus began a permanent cycle of traveling to M.D.Anderson Cancer Center for chemotherapy treatments, followed by remission, to be repeated every three years. Unable to work, he eventually had to sell his cattle and realized that the old life was over. At some point along the way they started attending the local Methodist Church and shortly thereafter he made a public confession of faith, “officially” accepted Christ as his Lord and savior, and was baptized. Almost immediately, the Holy Spirit became the guiding influence in his life and he acquired and insatiable appetite for studying the Bible. In the Fall of 1998, he was instructed by the Spirit to take up writing with religious/spiritual poetry being the primary result. Having never written a poem in his life, he suddenly found himself “waking up” at 3:00 AM to sit in the silence of pre-dawn solitude and compose poetry. Without a doubt, the Holy Spirit was involved in the writing of these poems for often he would just transcribe the words which were placed in his mind. A considerable volume of poems resulted over the next few years. The first series of poems has been called the Gospel Poems because this grouping seems to contain the basics of the Christian Gospel.

After the completion of the gospel poem series, there followed a time span of almost a year in which no poems were forthcoming. Almost as abruptly as they ended they started up again with a long series of poems called the “warning poems”. This series of poems continued off and on for several years through the Spring of 2006. By now, because of the nature of the poems, it had become obvious to the author that the Lord had appointed him as a Watchman and these poems were his warning message. Finally, after some prodding by the Spirit to stop putting off the inevitable the author has prepared the poems to be published in book form. From the very first poem it will be obvious to even the most casual reader that the claim is being made that these poems are from God and are meant to be a warning and a recipe for preparation for the fast approaching second coming of the Lord. The reader is warned against not taking the poems seriously, for there is to be a time of testing prior to the return of Christ, the Messiah, and everyone will be in danger of placing their soul in spiritual jeopardy.

By publishing these poems and making the claims asserted, the author realizes that he will be the focus of much criticism. However, he feels he has no options to do otherwise because the Word of God clearly states that for the Watchman to fail to sound the warning would mean that the blood of the victims will be on his head. This is a job he didn’t ask for and one he has tried to get out of, but the point of no return has long passed. The warning has been received and is now being passed on. It is the writer’s prayer that everyone will read and pay heed the warning of these poems, for to do otherwise will place your soul in jeopardy of being deceived when Satan is once again walking the earth during his allotted “hour” just prior to the return of our true Lord and Savior Christ, the Messiah. May God grant each of you the ability to read with understanding.
